Hi Folks,
The offer is now coming to an end but keep your eyes open as I am sure I'll be offering some more money off vouchers soon.
This was a rather succesfull initiative and many people took up on the offer and tried their first 'Deep Tissue Massage'.
So now the excitement is rising and there are only about four weeks left until I head off to St John in France and head off on foot, with an 18k backpack, over the Pyrenees mountains and all the way across Spain. Following the 'Camino Frances' or the 'Camino de Santiago' or the 'Way of St James'. There are many names but it is a hike of some 900k to Santiago De Compostella. With hopefully and extra three day hike on the end to Finisterra. Which is the most westerly point in Spain and was once beleived to be the end of the know world, hence Finis(finish) Terra (terrafirma-earth). Well I think thats correct so please no getting nasty if not 100% accurate lol.
Keep coming back for up to date news on the trip and please visit the website for any new updates regarding my 'Deep Tissue Massage' practice in Hereford.... www.deeptissueholisticmassage.com
See ya'll soon
Geoff

18kg?? 18 KILOS??? No, no Geoff! You'll need more than a deep tissue massage if you try to hike 900km, across three mountain ranges with an 18kg backpack!!
Travel light peregrino - no more than 10 - 15% of your body weight.
Check out a few 'light backpacking' websites. You'll even get a few tips on my blog post.

I also have one on medicines on the camino that might be of interest.
Buen camino!

Hi Sil,
Thank you for your comments and concern :O)
I do think, if my memory serves me well, that we have been in touch before. It was on a camino forum site that I foprget the name of?? but I last walked the way back in march so was around then I guess.
My pack last time was around 15 with out food and water and I took no camera. this time however, I have a 10litre less Backpack but I am taking my digi camera and spares. Which is around 2.5 - 3k. So that with water and food I am, at this point guesstimating, woi;ll be around the 18k mark. Way toooo much I hear you shout!! lol, but I have a leisurely SIX weeks to walk and as I said have done it before with similar weight so I think I'll be ok*gulps*.
Watch this space ;)
Thanks again Sil, and do you remember the name of the forum as I'd love to come back and visit but I'd have to trawl lots of forums to try and find the same one lol
love and light Geoff x
